Ireal pro pickup measure9/2/2023 ![]() ![]() I however, did not do the right thing by recording them both at once, I did them separately by accident. After the 12 sounds were recorded and were up to standards, a two full 4/4 bar was to be made. ![]() Sometimes we had to take turns making the sounds because what we were recording was so quiet it would get drowned out by other recordings. Other people even had noises made from other people. We had to record the sound enough for the app to pick up the sound we were making. From loud noises to quiet, long, short, anything really. On the iPad, our challenge was to make up 12 different sounds that could be anything in the room we were in. These are both parts of the 12 sound challenge on the MadPad app. I learned how to get the basics on garage band and learn the different ways to use the instruments on there. After the first name, we had to do the project again, but with our last name and with not a lot of help. It was fun little thing to see what you can do on garage band and just to have fun. After listening to the full track, I though it was super weird but cool. I chose smart strings and added what I recorded to the rest of the track. The next instrument was our choice of smart guitar or smart strings. After the name, then we added a full 8 beat bar of smart drums and recorded it to the name part. We were shown how to use each of the smart instruments for the track. After recording your name, you could make a rhythmic way of having it said, like really high pitched or low enough to sound like a growl. My class recorded our names and played different "smart instruments" on Garage Band. Last edited by dflat 04-13-2011 at 04:14 AM.This is the first project I did, the First and Last name project. Sometimes you have to move them a space in order to have it play. However for 3/4, 4 spaces, 4 beats in that bar is ok since 3/4 is quite common (we made the player obey the spacings.) Having a bar with 5 spaces in a 4/4 song with chords on every beat will not work. ![]() Can be very quick.Īlso check the player works as you input each section (assuming you want to use the Player facility.) It likes clear charts in order to understand what chord is where on the beats (spaces) within the bar. Oh - also you do not have to press NEXT to go along the system beat-by-beat, just tap where you want the chord or barline to go. On iPad it is easier than iPhone obviously. I usually tap on the template nearest the form or use Blank, and add the barlines as I am going along. If you need a specific template, make one yourself and use that each time (using Edit copy of song.) You can easily make a system with just barlines and copy/paste that a few times. Bars can be different widths (have a look through the forum and if you have the 1200 jazz songs or the original library for different bar lengths.) Basically you can have a bar of 2 or 4 spaces, so if we added a "Add bar" it would have to know what width you require. There is no way to add bars, only beats, but you can use the templates if they are near your song's form. You can usually get up to 8 bars across a system - depends on the number of chords you have in a bar of course. Thanks The number of bars does not really matter. Is there a maximum amount of bars that you can have for the ipad app? Is there an easier way to add more bars than pressing 'add beat' multiple times? ![]()
